In a well-planned investigation based on scientific evidence, quick police action, and effective prosecution, accused Hukum Chand @ Gomchi has been convicted in FIR No. 113/2026, PS Paharganj, under sections 309(4)/317(2) BNS.
The incident took place on the night of 02/03.02.2026 near the cut towards R.K. Ashram Metro Station, Delhi. The complainant was going towards R.K. Ashram Metro Station when the accused intentionally hit him and started a quarrel. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused robbed Rs. 5,200 from the complainant’s pocket and fled from the spot.
After the victim’s complaint, the case was registered on 03.02.2026 and investigation was started immediately.
The investigation was conducted by a police team consisting of ASI Ranbir Singh (IO), HC Krishan, HC Shiv Kumar, Ct. Pushpender, Ct. Chet Ram, and HC Arjun (Naib Court) under the supervision of Insp. Bhoopendra Singh, SHO/PS Paharganj, and overall supervision of ACP Saurabh Narendra, ACP Paharganj.
During investigation, CCTV footage was collected, preserved, and analyzed. Based on technical surveillance, CCTV analysis, and local intelligence, the accused Hukum Chand @ Gomchi was identified and arrested.
The complainant identified the accused during TIP proceedings and also before the Hon’ble Court. CCTV footage supported the complainant’s statement and showed the accused’s presence and actions at the spot.
All oral, documentary, and electronic evidence were collected, and the chargesheet was filed on 23.03.2026.
During the trial, the case was effectively presented by Sh. Pravesh Kumar Vyas, Ld. Additional Public Prosecutor, who examined witnesses and presented evidence in court.
After examining all evidence, the Hon’ble Court of Ms. Neetu Sharma, Ld. ACJM-01, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, convicted Hukum Chand @ Gomchi on 23.05.2026 for the offence under section 309(4) BNS.
The court relied on the complainant’s testimony, TIP identification, and CCTV evidence, and held the accused guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
The conviction reflects the effective and professional work of the PS Paharganj police team and supports public confidence in the justice system.
