On 23/06/22, a PCR call was received at PS Mohan Garden regarding a dead body near Lal Farm, Mohan Garden. Local police reached the spot and found a dead body of an unknown lady who has been prima facie strangulated using her own Chunni. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 343/22 dated 23/06/22 U/s 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Mohan Garden. Later, the victim was identified as a 35-year old mother of six children. She belonged to U.P and came to Delhi one week ago to meet her sister-in-law.
TEAM AND OPERATION-
A Special team led by Insp. Naveen Kumar comprising Insp. Devender, SI Subhash, SI Bahadur, SI Jaiveer, SI Bijender, ASI Kartar, HC Rajkumar, HC Dinesh, Ct Ashwani, and Ct Rajkumar under the supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh ACP/Ops Dwarka was constituted to solve this sensational murder case. The team started work using technical and human inputs. Informers were also deployed to get any specific information. On the basis of technical and manual surveillance, the team zeroed in on one Ajay R/o Shahjahanpur, U.P. Several raids were conducted at his possible hideouts in Delhi and UP. The mobile phone of the victim and the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the commission of the crime have been recovered on his instance.
INTERROGATION-
During interrogation, it is revealed that the accused is a native of Shahjahanpur, U.P. He is an E-Rickshaw puller. He came in contact with the victim one year ago, and since then they were in a relationship. From the last few days, the victim started demanding money from him and also threatened him to implicate him in a false case. Thereafter, accused made a plan to murder the lady. Last week, the victim arrived in Delhi to meet her sister-in-law residing in Mohan Garden. In order to execute his plan, the accused also arrived in Delhi.
On 22/6/22, the accused contacted the victim. Thereafter, he picked up the victim from Mohan Garden. In the early hours of 23/06/22, he murdered the victim by strangulating her throat using her Chunni and fled from the spot. He also took away the victim's phone.
