On 22.01.2023, in evening ASI Sunil and HC Rinku of P.S Chhawla, Delhi were on Beat Motorcycle Patrolling in Qutub Vihar area. They were informed by public persons that a quarrel and assault is happening. A PCR call regarding the quarrel was also received at 2035hrs. The alert patrolling staff rushed to the spot where it was found that some boys had quarrelled with an auto driver.

Staff pursued the alleged boys. HC Rinku caught one of them who was a known criminal, Sunny @ Shooter. Sunny stabbed HC Rinku twice and escaped. HC Rinku was shifted to Hospital. His condition is stable and he is undergoing treatment for a deep stab injury. Senior officers have visited him and are ensuring best possible medical care. A case FIR No 47/23 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC has been registered at P.S Chhawla in this regard.

Teams were formed to nab the accused Sunny alongwith his accomplices, who were involved in the Heinous crime. Based on secret information, a raid was conducted at a house on Bhai -Bhai Road, Qutub Vihar, Delhi around 2:30AM. The police team of PS Chhawla and Ops unit of Dwarka District came under fire from the criminals. In self-defence, the police team also fired three rounds. Accused Sunny was hit by 2 bullets on his legs. He was shifted to hospital immediately and is under treatment. Total 3 persons have been caught from the room. Search for other co-accused is going on. One country made Pistol with three live cartridges and Buttandar knife was recovered from accused persons
