This groundbreaking concept, an original idea for promotion of cricket and talent scouting from the masses, was given by late professor NC Bakshi to his cricket students and peers. After two trial runs in the past, It is now re-initiated and taken in full spirit, intended to run as a periodic programme by the academy vertical of the club foundation, NC Bakshi Academy of Cricket excellence. The programme aims to democratise cricket, ensuring inclusivity and opportunities for young cricket enthusiasts, especially targeting the youngsters from weak socio-economic backgrounds. It will ensue sports-societal justice and focus on giving the joy of cricket to youngsters, who otherwise find it difficult to avail cricket facilities and guidance due to financial barriers. Following the talismanic words, from late professor NC Bakshi, ' Cricket is a game for all ,we should promote it among masses' and his call to youngsters through this programme ' aao hum sab cricket khelein, pehle khelein phir seekhein', reflects an indefatigable and eternal commitment to expanding the sport's reach to masses and providing equitable representation. The academy will work to create a platform where this objective is implemented and the passion meets potential, echoing Bakshi Sir's enduring commitment to giving cricket as a sport to youngsters and kids.
