In this episode of Wonder Woman, Radio Dwarka invited educationist Anjulata to know what makes her a woman of substance.
Youngest among her siblings, Anjulata spent her early years in Varanasi before moving to Bhilai for further education. "As a kid, I never had thought of taking up teaching as a career. But after completing my Masters, I decided to be a teacher," she says.
She spends six hours in travelling on a daily basis as her school or workplace is situated more than 70km away from home in Dwarka. "The school is my second home as my family teases and I love to be there with those children," she says.
Employed at a government-run school in a village in Uttar Pradesh, she loves to spread knowledge among not-so-privileged children in the hope to empower them. "It is our responsibility to educate all the children to ensure that our tomorrow is better and brighter," she says.
