Sagar Malik dazzles, FCC in Quarters

Match winning all round display by Sagar Malik (67 runs, 1x6s, 8x4s, 48 balls and 2/35) and useful half century by Gaurav Gautam (62 runs) enabled Friends Cricket Club beat Paras Group by 45 runs to enter the quarter final of the 27 th All India Sperry Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at Shivaji College Grounds, here today. Put in to bat FCC lost 6 wickets for just 108 runs in 25.4 overs. After that Gaurav Gautam and Sagar Malik put on 97 runs off 76 balls to help their team reach to a total of 221
runs. Manoj Chauhan bagged 3 wickets for 35 runs. Chasing 222 runs Paras Group were bundled out for 176 runs with 4 overs remaining. One of the main reason for the loss was poor shot selection by the Paras Group batsmen. Vaibhav Pawar claimed three while Mohd. Bilal & Sagar Malik took two wickets apiece.
