In this episode, 16-year-old cricketer Jasleen Khokhar tells us how her father pulled a national-level tennis player into cricket. She has played cricket in Under 19 Team and has been a standby player for Under 23 Team.
A medium pacer, she is in the first year college and has a tough time juggling academics and sports, giving equal importance to both, but has been managing both so far.
"There are a lot of things that a coach teaches, but there are a few that one can learn by being on the field and facing it head-on," she says. Khokhar's father had coached her initially, but on a professional level, she has been taking cricketing lessons from Ragini Malhotra of SM Cricket Academy, Jesus and Mary College. "She was my first coach and is a great motivator, but in between, I also joined Sanjeev Sharma here in Dwarka," she quips.
She idolises Ellyse Perry and Jhulan Goswami and wants to play with Jhulan Di one day.
