Actor Pradeep Duhan a.k.a. Captain Manav Mularidhar Ojha of Badi Door Se Aaye Hain, hails from Rohtak in Haryana and calls himself a self-taught actor.
In a freewheeling chat with Radio Dwarka, Duhan said he was a fun-loving child and fond of acting since his early years. He participated in extracurricular activities during his school days.
A software engineer by qualification, he started off as a model and struggled for three long years to make a mark for himself in Mumbai. With no support from his family and hailing from a modest background, his initial years in the tinsel town were full of struggle.
He first bagged his first serial, Meri Sister Didi, for Sony Pal. Years later, he reminisced his initial days in Mumbai. Whenever Duhan used to call his mother, she used to ask him that if he had fulfilled his hobby, he should return home and he used to laugh it off.
Talking about the cast of Badi Door Se..., he said that he holds his reel father in high regards. "It feels great to be playing his onscreen son."
A black belt in Taekwondo, he lays considerable importance on fitness. "I devote an hour or so daily for the gym workout. Whatever looks good on screen sells, so it is important to stay fit."
Initially, Duhan's parents were against his career choice, but today they are proud of his achievements.
Apart from acting, he has featured in a lot of television commercials.
In his leisure time, Duhan loves to read Urdu literature and watch plays.
Naseeruddin Shah is his favourite and one day he would love to share screen space with the veteran actor.
From television, he might make a move to the big screen sometime soon. Till then, he requested his fans to keep watching his serial Badi Door...
