Run for brotherhood in Capital on 9/11You need a browser with JavaScript!
Radio Dwarka invited Suresh K Sharma, former IGP of Punjab Police, to its studio to know more about the Universal Brotherhood Day run. As we know that September 11 is celebrated as the Universal Brotherhood Day to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's call for Universal Brotherhood in his speech on the same day in Chicago 123 years ago.
"This year, a 3.5-km run is being organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari to mark the occasion. The race will start at Talkatora Stadium, and pass through Kalibari, RML Hospital, and culminate at the Stadium. The registration is open to all, and the fee is Rs 200," he said.
It will be flagged off by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi; Maj Gen GD Bakshi is the Keynote Speaker and Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon'ble Minister of State for Culture and Tourism is the Guest of Honour.
The participants will get a t-shirt, certificate/medal, and refreshment.
