The Federation of Co-operative Group Housing Societies Dwarka Ltd organised a felicitation and interactive session on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at RadissonBlu, Dwarka.
"Our Federation had organised this event to felicitate the newly elected Mayor of SDMC Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Chairman of Standing Committee Bhupinder Gupta, Councillors - Nitika Sharma and Sushma Godara and MLA Gulab Singh Yadav. The residents of suburbs raised their concerns, asked questions and sought redressal of their grievances," said Mukesh Sinha.
Encroachment, lack of toilets in markets, lack of cleanliness in parks, poor sanitation and garbage picking facilities, and receipt of water bill in some areas of Dwarka were some of the issues that were raised by the residents.
The Federation plans to hold meetings and interactive sessions with the Vice Chairman of DDA, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, and urban development minister Manish Sisodia in the coming months.
The Mayor, who is also a resident of Dwarka, sounded upbeat after the session and said, "In two months time, we will have a blueprint ready for our future course of action to resolve the issues raised by residents."
Those who attended the interactive session highlighted the nagging problems that bother them, including parking facility in and around the crowded market areas, drainage, street lighting, garbage collection, encroachment, among many other issues.
