A cricket ground was inaugurated at Chhawla, Dwarka, by Suresh K Chopra, former Vice-President DDCA, and Chairman of Women's Cricket, and Chairman, Indian Grameen Cricket Association of India, on Sunday.
“Even though this ground is in a village, it will go a long way in promoting sports. Improvement of infrastructure could be used to promote women cricketers and will produce more players,” he said, adding, “it will benefit a lot of budding cricketers in the area.
Also present were MLA of Matiala Gulab Singh Yadav, Chhawla councilor Pawan Sharma, and social activists Madhuri Rawat Varshney and Surinder Bharadwaj.
