The event of Janmashtami will be celebrated at the Rukmini-Dwarkadheesh ISKCON Temple, Dwarka, on August 25, 2016.
The temple, which was inaugurated three years ago, will celebrate its fourth Janmashtami function with great pomp and show, and more than three lakh devotees are expected to participate in it.
The five-day celebration will start on August 21, 2016, with a Shobha Yatra at 5 pm, covering the prominent market areas of Dwarka. It fosters a spirit of brotherhood; the programme will be followed by dinner for all.
On the other days, from August 22-24, there would be different programmes in the evening.
On August 25, programmes will be spread through the day, starting the early morning at 4 am. There would be face painting, fancy dress competition, among many cultural programmes; 2016 items of bhog will be offered to Lord Krishna, followed by aarti and prasad distribution around midnight.
