Dwarka's Good Samaritan Ankit Jhamb goes around feeding hungry people
32-year-old Ankit Jhamb works as Associate Director with an MNC and runs a campaign Aao Khilayein to feed hungry people across the suburb.
From taking food from home, the group has a caterer who cooks fresh and healthy food to be distributed to people at shelter homes, construction sites, traffic signals and orphanages.
In winter, he crowdfunded purchase of 1000 blankets and ran another campaign, Aao Udhayein, to give warmth to the needy people across the city.
"We used to start from home at 11 pm and travel in the city through the night distributing blankets to people who were shivering out in the cold," he says.
The group has a Facebook page and is an extension of the feeling of giving and gratitude. "Taking time out is not an issue, and my family has rallied around me and my cause."
The group has 100 volunteers who contribute to the cause.
He has many plans in the offing.
